So, here is the replacement. Not nearly as cool, but more functional for me.

Its a 1941 1 ton pick-up. Like a modern day f-250. Boss truck. I already have the correct pick-up bed for it. Flathead V-8.

The plan is to do a high-boy look. Lifted on tall & skinny knobbies.

That's awesome ! =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>

I'm going to make the mechanical 100% and leave body ratty.
The 1 ton pick-up has a wider and longer bed. Very hard to find. This is a 47 truck, but the bed is identical.

Bought the truck, took the bed off, and re-sold.

Mounted my tires at home. Split rims are awesome! Truck is looking good. Need to start thinking about suspension/brake/axle rebuild. Going to lift the suspension 8" or so.

Forget lifting it, just make it drive again! Those are some serious tires!!! Keep at it!

1943 war truck. All kinds of cool stuff on it, Headlight gaurds, tow hooks, safari windshield, roof wipers, different dash/gauges, steering wheel, and rear window guard.
