That's a bucket list car, for sure. Good luck on your search.

Looking at the photo it would appear the link I posted above is for a hack 4 door converted to a coupe.

*Edit*...nevermind. These 2 doors also have the rear vent window so I guess it was a factory option different from the coupe posted above. I guess in '49 Ford was still making a 2 door "tudor" and a 2 door coupe?

Yeah, Ford built 2 door sedans, convertibles and coupes. In profile the sedans look very similar to the 4 door, the coupes have a much shorter roof line with a longer rear deck. I'm pretty sure the Victoria (hard top body) didn't come out until '51.

Yeah, lots of 2dr sedans for sale in that price range...but having a hard time finding a decent coupe....Screw it, I should probably forget about this anyways.

I was hoping that someone would have a neighbor/freind that mentioned letting go of their coupe.

Yup! Better to just put it on the back burner and keep some cash (or LOC) 'just in case' than actively look for stuff.
In the mean time, it's always good to hustle a bit to get that cash in the bank 'just in case'. Smile
