He asked if I could get a smaller pulley to spin it faster and I said no, only a smaller crank pulley to spin it slower.
Hence my interest in the (no doubt since it is from Empi who is known for the overwhelming quality in their parts) 90 amp alternator.
a porsche 356/912 pulley is smaller and fits and will spin the alternator faster. Expensive pulley though. I don't think you need it. Just sayin.
Spent the day getting the engine all plugged in. I tried to start it this evening, and all I could get was a few pops off of the fuel injection priming sequence. Like its not reading the distributor signal or something. I'm going to call it a night, and get a fresh start tomorrow after I talk to Kris....unless anyone else has an idea of what to check?
