Ron was here for the weekend. John and Kevin railed his bus yesterday. Now hes sporting a 2054cc, A1 sidewinder with heater boxes, steering box raise, a fullflow oil system with an oil cooler and oil filter.

Wow! If you ever get the chance to stop by the shop and buy the guys lunch, do it! These guys are the best in the business! And the hardest working group you'll ever find.

Thanks to VW Paradise for the sweet 2054cc engine also!

I left Grand Junction 4,597ft in elevation and drove home uphill to Telluride 8,750ft. An elevation gain of 4,153ft and about a 2.5-3 hr drive with NO ISSUES AT ALL! Whoop Whoop!
My bus runs like a dream!! Nothing leaks, rattles, smokes, (on the bus that is, ha!) tons of low end power, and no drifting left and right! It's like I have a new light weight camper or something, too cool for sure!

What can I say but KCW ROCKS, great people and better friends, thanks guys.

Very Good!

Congrats Ron, you're a lucky guy. That's quite an upgrade on your bus. Nothing runs like a VW that's been cooked by the KCW crew.

Sniff Sniff...............is that another crappy driver engine laying around KCW I smell? :-s

Sooooo, this rig ran its self out of oil because of a popped oil filter.

Luckily, Ron turned the engine off before any real damage occured. We had the crank polished, and ordered some new bearings....Also ordered a few other goodies..Berg by-pass oil pump cover should prevent the filter from popping again, and some strait cut cam gears....'cause we all love the sound of them.

I do not know how you guys do it in the mountains.. I can't wait till I do not have to leave the house in the winter!

I will take some pics soon... This is a killer camper bus...

Motor is ready to go back together, cyliders loaded everything cleaned up enough etc.. Ron.. You have 3/4 reach spark plugs.. You gotta run w8aCC's!!! (I think thats the number)... You'll have slightly more compression and a WAYYY better flame with the correct plugs.. no more autolites.. unless it's a pinch situation.. The 40's will wake this baby up too.. We also advanced the cam 4 degree's.. You have a engle 120 cam.. and straight cuts now too!

spent my x-mas eve wrapping this up.. I was trying to get out of here and didn't post up.. But Rons new engine is ready for a valve adjustment and a tune.. I did a 15 minute break in style run x-mas eve.... Just to make sure shit was all good..

I think you will love having these 40's.. as opposed to the kadrons.

I'll stab it into the bus today..

Merry x-mas Ron.. I am going to hook up heat this time too.. \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ Even if all I can do it get defrost working well it will be better than what you had...

Rons bus is an awesome camper.. and I think maybe similar to how my camper will turn out.. :-k

Rivi's are great. I love the layout inside, with all of it's Westy clone features. Does his have the red or blue upholstery?
