Dan's Notchback

Postby Pigpen » Mon Mar 02, 2009 12:57 pm

Dan is a local guy who has a super clean "project" Notch he wants us to make badass... The plan is to get the pan done first, and then start the body..

I'm gonna blast it after lunch, and do the little metal work it needs.. Try to paint it tonight...This pan is rediculously clean... Should go quick..

I have to take a Valium just to calm down enough to go talk to John. Im way excited about this build.

Without the KCW crew this would never have happened.

These were my brothers cars. He had collected them, and parts for them for 20+ years.

The car that KCW is going to build is actually one of the parts cars. Not the one my brother had intended to build.

Please be patient with me, this is my first VW.

The Notch is as clean as they come! With the KCW Crew's expertise and dedication, the Notch will be better than new! It will be fun to watch and see the final outcome. =D>

Hey kevin, I have always wondered, when you pull the torsion bars out of the pan to blast it, when you put them back in after paint, how do you index them back to, say stock height or 0 clicks. do you just slide them in any old way and then put the spring plates on and thats your 0 or is there some sort of way they install back in to get you back to 0.... does that make sense?
