Scottys 59 DC

Postby john jones » Fri Nov 21, 2008 8:33 am

With work being a little slow right now, I decided to offer this super early DC up to someone, provided they have us build it.. Scotty jumped at the chance... So here we go..

This DC has a few home improvements, like most busses do.. but all and all, is very solid bus.. Nearly no rust.. Doors all fit and shut nice, gates are nice, bed is nice, bulkhead is nice cargo floors etc.. Someone did blast it and leave it outside.. So it doesn't look nearly as nice as it is..

It's getting the standard KCW treatment..

Like John said… standard KCW treatment. Slammed, narrowed, driven, and enjoyed. This truck will be driven often and far, so no all out OG show truck treatment for this one.

Color is definitely Dove Blue. I don’t have unlimited funds, so we’ll have to watch the budget on some of the big ticket items. No disc brakes or Fuchs; interior will be standard commercial…… for now. Not sure on wheels just yet. BRM’s and Sprintstars are both fine. Suggestions welcome.

As far as engine/trans, we’ll wait and see what kind of shape I’m in towards the end. I sure would like to have some decent power and freeway cruising capability…. Most likely will blow the budget there.

In Texas you won't need the "big hill engine", so you could econimize there. For wheels, check out my 'shorty project', with the phone dials.(in readers rides, this site) I had them powder coated grey. Goes real good with the dove blue.

good to hear a fellow Texan is getting one built. You'll have to bring it out to the TX classic in the spring.
