124HP and 145 Torque to the wheels. That's around 145hp/175tq at the crank!

Not too shabby for a KCW-built bullet with almost 30,000 miles on it, huh?

Who said you can't road-trip a big motor??? O:)

I have had several people tell me that anything bigger than a 1915 was unreliable for a regularly drive Aircooled VW, and same people went on to say that the 1641 and 1776 are the two sizes to go with if not going back stock size. I love seeing people on this forum road trip big engines . Also love your double cab Scotty, readthe entire thread a week ago.

The dyno-guy... he has to be at the wheel for insurance puposes.

I was in there with him because he was having hell with shifting for some reason. The reverse button on the shifter had him all fouled up!

Here's a 30,000+ mile update.....

Just made a quick 700-mile run from TX to Arkansas. The bus is running just as good as the day I picked it up from KCW 5 years ago.

Here's a shot from today's run... Pegging out the speedo with ease!

Thanks once again guys =D>

What kind of mpg do you get with that motor in a bus?
Sounds like you are doing a lot of road tripping.
