Gary that was an awesome write-up. You've been through a lot of shit with that car but it's still looking nice. Glad you've got your killer motor in and running. I'm also happy I could help with this and I'm busy sourcing parts right now for your old 57 Kombi.

Hey.. thanks to all that read and replied! John built my car in something like 6 weeks... a year and a half later, I am finally driving it again...
I can't seem to shake the shit-eatin' grin off my face.

Some dude pulled up next to me, rolled down his window, and asked: "Hey, is that a '74?... I used to have one just like it" Smile

So... check these trikes out. The guys at the Bug Shop have a lot of Trike Customers. These two belong to a husband and wife that get up on Sundays and ride 400 miles. The guy (Don) has a bum left leg and has the pedal cluster on the right side of the trike.. it's a turbo 2 liter with a holley. Smile
They kinda remind me of something from "Every Which Way But Loose" Good Times!

We need pics of the oval rollin'!! \:D/

If I still have the vert next year I think I'll roll it to Sainfest. Took it to my parents on the weekend to keep in their garage for the winter and it really purrs along nice on the highway.

Good to hear you are having some seat time in the oval again Gary. You gonna bring it home to Nashville? And what is your interest in convertible tops all of a sudden...... for your Ghia?
Greg

If you can't run with the big dogs....
