Also on the subject of oils-gear oil in a VW trans should be rated GL-4. It's hard to find now days, unless you buy a synthetic like Amsoil. The price of filling your trans went from $6 up to $25-30 just like that. The VW syncros don't operate properly with other gear oils like the easy to find and much less costly GL-5 ect. Bummer...

GL-5 is completely backwards compatible.

I have been running it for years with no problem.

Wow, It looks like you had to much lift or the lifters where to fat for the lifter bore.

Maybe even ran dry and froze the oil pump.

Good looking Pits. My daughter has a mix Boxer/Pit. Just got attacked on the leash by a stray Pit. Got gashed up pretty good.

Like the SC too.
Let me draw you a fucking picture!

not a problem man. thanks for keeping these forums and threads going for as long as you have so we can all somewhat stay connected no matter how many years seems to pass by.i should do it more as much as i am out and about in them. been kinda sidetracked last couple years building a fastback. ill throw up some pics of it in near future. i always seem to find my way back to the dubs though. never have seemed to be able to shake it. ive always said it and still stick with it, that single cab will be the last to go if all else fails. love my cab! been seriously contemplating bringing the kombi back for some loving ..something else just always seems to get in its way. ](*,)
