Shawn's slammed oval

Postby Franz » Wed Oct 18, 2006 9:46 am

Shawn bought this car out of Denver, and had it delivered to us last weeked. Its missing a few of the correct parts, but it a beautiful car. No rust, no major flaws. Shawn wants us to build the pan with our air ride system, and possibly paint then assemble. This is going to be a very nice/clean car when its finished.

Shawn, What are the plans on the pan? 4 wheel wide 5 disc, BRMs, right? What about the engine and transaxle? Do you want to re-use the original transaxle, or go with a rebuilt tunnel case synchro transaxle?

That has to be one of the cleanest bodies you guys have started with yet.
Its hard to believe that the wheel wells are that rust free.
Can't wait to see this one happen.
Is the body coming off the pan?

What year? Ribbed doors? I didn't see any bullets on the front fenders, is it pre-bullet 55 down?

Super clean car, looks fantastic. I am going to be following this one close. Great car!!

Shawn, I just ordered the tires. Do we need to order some BRMs or, do you already have some you're going to send?

The pan for this car is great, for the year. It seems like there is very little to do to it compared to past projects.

It just adds to the overall cool factor of the car. I think it gives it an edge over all the other Ovals out there. it is not for everyone for sure, but I always give RHD cars a second look just for the cool factor. Curb appeal is the best way to describe it. this car is very clean and it looks solid, so no matter what, it will be killer

That says it, but it doesn't take RD to make it any better than LD. Its the quality of work into the job.
