Re: Zach's Garage

I feel bad for you old man. I hope things work out for him. Loosing a 34 coupe is bad enough, but your whole home is crazy. https://gcmaz.com/media/Dearing-2.jpg Looks like the fire fighters were worried about igniting the the trees/forest around the house. It could have been much worse.

Re: 74 Bus

But this one is as solid as they come and priced right. A good candidate for engine swaps, crazy suspension mods, or custom. A step ahead with no major bodywork or rust repair needing to be done. A Buddy is gonna let this go cheap!!! $1000 http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd98/rustabus/442A61CB-CA...

Re: 74 Bus

We're just snobs. Smile Split window busses are the best. 68-71 bays are a good second choice. 73-79 suck. There are tons of differences between early and late bay. The most major being that the engine goes from type 1 (like all of the early busses, beetles and ghias use) to a type IV pancake type w...

A video of start up?! I was thinking more like a second gear 7k clutch drop. Smile Not really. I have zero desire to cause any damage to this car.

Re: 66 deluxe camper

YEAH! The hatch went from bare metal to painted in two days. I also squeezed the rack and some tent piece into the paint session. Stellar progress this weekend. =D> http://www.kustomcoachwerks.com/gallery3/var/albums/Type-2/66-Deluxe-camper/damngoodda%20%281%29.JPG?m=1489977123 http://www.kustomcoac...

Re: "Scarface" 54 BD panel build

Sweet!

How'd those Saco brakes go together? I kow some of the older kits took a little finesse to fit. They are a deal considering what you get for $950. Not many other options for a pre 63 disc brake kit anyhow.

I remember you and the brown car from that show. For sure. That oval was hammered for the time. Narrowed beams were were the new thing. Johnny was ahead of the curve. Styled out.

Re: Lowlight jigsaw puzzle

Also, on ghia you need to be mindful of the manifold/carb height, as the deck lid hinge springs sometimes interfere.

Re: Lowlight jigsaw puzzle

Awe yeah! Vintage speed. Those 36 Dells must have smaller venturis? Def a better setup than the original type okrasa/solex carbs. Dual single barrel carbs always seem to have a weird reversion/valve overlap in the lower rpms. Ida's would be cool too. Josh, you thinking you could make smaller throttl...

Re: Wilbur's '65 Westy

Yeah Will killed it. He's pretty much has had tunnel vision on his bus for the last week. Not many people can find the time, energy, and focus to get that much done in 7 days.
