Re: Andy's SWEET POP TOP EARLY Bay

Yes I do. They can be re-geared just as easy as type I's. Stronger too. Remember we talked about more cylinders? I'm also thinking big meats and adventure type camper.

I think............I may be all wet, but I think Franz was alluding to buying the business. Couldn't go to a more credentialed candidate than that. :-k

Make me a deal on that trans Andy. I'm about four days away from picking up my '69 bay shell. Going to need a trans.

Re: Bens' '58 DD Panel

^^^ Have to tell on myself and Andy. We've been back and forth on the phone for a few months now about my idle. It was hunting all the time. Tried everything Andy suggested, but what seemed like an improvement would quickly revert to same old, same old. ](*,) In the back of my mind, I thought it mig...

Re: '66 Squareback---going Subaru!

Without the stock intake, and the coolant cross over turned, it takes a lot of the ugly away from the Subi motor. I like it! The intake air filter is genius Andy. Should be very cool air temps with that design.

You got the front radiator grill done yet?

Re: Zach's Garage

Man! That sucks! My house and garage got robbed once, and someone stole my XR650R Honda. That still hurts to this day. I can only imagine what you and your dad are feeling. Hope some time can heal the wounds.

Thanks for the info.

Re: Zach's Garage

Zack, I finally checked my rim sizes. They are 27" x 1 1/4". Chrome steel. I was looking on Amazon and E-bay and saw 27" x 700c, Is that a comparable size?

Re: Shifters

^^^ I was thinking of trying that conversion. I have a late front shift rod piece and a gear shift lever. Just need the correct height cup and spring for the shift lever.

Edit:
Just saw this on Vintage Speed site.
