http://www.kustomcoachwerks.com/gallery3/var/resizes/Type-2/KBs-54-BD-Camping-Box/DSCF4439.JPG Can't stop looking....you killed that nose. Some folks graft in that lower nose section and you can sometimes spot it at certain angles...they just look "off" a bit....not this one. =D>

Re: Lowlight jigsaw puzzle

Not yet; haven't really had the opportunity to split town that hasn't involved needing to take everything that 6 and 2 year olds require. I've put 7k-8k on it, but it's all been my normal commuting mostly. I wouldn't be opposed to the right bus but it would be in addition to the Ghia, not a replacem...

Re: Lowlight jigsaw puzzle

So, those valve covers have vents at the top, And just have tubes that snake down the middle, in the groove under the bail? You're letting them just drip from the bottom of the tube, Or are you catching with a hose from there? Some kind of baffle plate at the top, under where the tube connects? :-k...

Re: Lowlight jigsaw puzzle

Very cool Pete. When is the Okrasa build going to happen? I'm not sure, mostly because I'm waffling on which route to take. I have everything at home where I could bolt it all to the current motor and probably have it rolling in one weekend (even have the Okrasa elbows for the air cleaners). That's...

Re: Lowlight jigsaw puzzle

I don't know the exact science; maybe one of the engine guys can explain better. I'm told vented valve covers are in VW service manuals from the '50's for 25 and 36 hp motors as a fix for oil leaking. I think the theory is as engines wear there's a tendency for blow-by which increases case pressure ...

Re: Lowlight jigsaw puzzle

The vented valve covers seem to be limiting oil slinging from behind the pulley so far. Driven every day this past week and no sign of the familiar rooster tail slung across the breast plate. =D> Thanks again Franz!

Don't know why I thought it was $50/hr, but even better - go $95 1st hour, $75 2nd, $60 thereafter on the Parkway side then. Smile Smile Smile

Re: Dans Boosted Oval Rag

Work smarter, not harder. Smile Add some rate tiers to your "Parkway" work, like $85 for 1st hour, $65 for 2nd hour, $50 for all hours thereafter. Locals won't like reading that (sorry!) but will hopefully understand you need to bring in a little more as your body is forcing you to work le...

After I typed it out it felt a bit too much like getting into your personal finances on a public forum, so I nixed it out of caution. Probably should have PM'd it, but glad you saw it. Smile

You have bigger problems than spindle mount wheels. Like I said. You won't be able to get a title for that pan. Somebody is already driving a 53 zwitter body around with those number in the system. The police will impound that rig when they see you're trying to do some shady shit. You have no way t...
