in reply to: My endless projects… #85391
Those results are clearly from years of hands on metal. Attaining that level of repair with a POS China Freight tool? Craftsmanship indeed!
in reply to: JJ's projects #85360Always nice to hear a positive regarding the medical profession, especially spine… Congratulations John.
in reply to: KCW randomness #84005Back pain definitely is a rate limiting motherfucker, happy to hear you’re better this AM. Complete stranger engaged me while getting gas yesterday evening, topic was polar plunging. I’d never heard of it, but this dude was fanatical. Post lumbar surgery X five and claimed that it’s working great for his back/leg pain.
Curiosity peaked, I did an internet search and looks like something easy enough to DIY, especially where y’all are living. Haven’t done any extensive research regarding risk/benefit, but may be a project in the near future. I do know that an ice bath is a treatment for professional athletes post injury. We’ll see… Y’all have a golden day.
in reply to: KCW randomness #80409Never heard of the guy and now I’m blasting American Flags in my wood shop. Thanks Rusty! It’s driving my transplant neighbors insane…
in reply to: on Craigslist…… #79031in reply to: Parkway projects #77904That is some smoooth jiiiive!
in reply to: KCW randomness #76387Unless you’re skilled and have ALL the requisite tools, you’ve got to pay to play. Y’all did a SC for my Dad a few years back. I quit tallying receipts after 50K… who gives a fuck at that point? He’s 87, still entering shows and winning trophies and grinning like an opossum. Hard to put a price on that.
Irresponsible, self absorbed assholes driving whilst using a cellphone… well, fuck em.
in reply to: Your first vw #75799Caught the fever while y’all were restoring my Dad’s 60 SC. Bought in Albuquerque from original owner about seven years ago. Slowly turning into a fake weekender.
in reply to: RC Randomness #75240Lowery AFB was the best duty assignment… ever. Never saw any RC stuff, but Redrocks, Little Bear, college girls in Boulder and a little Greek place on Colfax… the best.
in reply to: Closed to the public. #73109We’ll, congratulations on making a difficult decision Mr Jones. I can state with authority and conviction,… retirement doesn’t suck!
I applaud your graciousness in recognizing the importance of Franz and Pat’s work. Their attention to detail and pride of craftsmanship is without peer. Perhaps Pat may consider the nickname “Hanz” for future endeavors?
Best of luck.
in reply to: Parkway projects #72146Morning y’all. I need to do the same to my bay. Would you mind sharing who you use for ball joints, tie rods and drag link? I’ve already a Febi/Bilstien center pin.
in reply to: Parkway projects #71432Sure is nice to see y’all using your considerable expertise on a bay!
in reply to: Sailing Bridges ‘52 single cab #44452Franz… you’re a badass.
in reply to: Pauls 60 Single cab #29300Brought Dad his bright yellow SC last August on his 81st birthday. We went for a little putt down some Arkansas country ass roads and upon return, I told him Happy Birthday. He just stood there with both hands on the tailgate… for about ten minutes. First time I ever saw his wit escape him.
I’ll have one of the girls show me how to post pics.
