Oh yeah, I see the back window on the black bug now… I wish you had bought that blue 68 ghia, that was a sweet og car. Under 100k miles, original motor, never hit, og paint. Stacked to the roof inside with old newspapers, the guy delivered papers in the trailer park. Bought it from an ad in the Herald “68 ghia $99, needs transmission. Space xx Island cove trailer park” No phone number. Handed the old guy a hundie soon as he opened the door. The bad trans was cv bolts that came loose. Sold it to some girl from cal for $3500 bucks. She didn’t know sh** about cars and drove it all the way home.
Everything… changed the oil, lubed the front end, topped off the transmission, adjusted the brakes, torqued the heads, adjusted the valves, checked timing, points, carbs, rotated the tires, cleaned the air filters, lubed the throttle cable and tightened a couple of things here and there. Oh and John said he had some Super Cheesy OG chrome fender guards I should put on so I did, I’ll put the back ones on later. Not sure if I have room for too many more accessories. lol Yeah living so close to KCW is a blessing for sure and having John there to look over my shoulder whenever I need is pretty cool also. Not to mention its so much easier to go over things when your car is on a lift and you can take your time and smoke as many bowls as needed! Good day for sure.
