This is kind of funny, because I recall in the old days at KCW when electric pumps were used pretty regular. 😎

I'm at the age where "fuck off", "fuck you", and "fuck it" answer most questions.

Alright fine, I’ll get rid of the “too high tech” electric fuel pump.

I tied it it down pretty tight, is it really windy there already?

Back at this one, but this time I’ve recruited Glenn to help me. We’ve got a good amount finished so far. We started Thursday night and I finished welding in my new cross member and heater tube, then ground down all the welds while Glenn stripped the long panel and the drivers side.

Yesterday morning we finished stripping the nose,  pulled on it some more, found a few more dents, ground out rust from rock chips, and found some rust though at the bottom. Cut a new patch, which actually fit pretty well, and welded it in.

We’ve been sanding all yesterday evening and into early this morning and the first section of ‘do is in 80 grit!! Looks much better than it did before. ????

    Long panel today….

I got a bit carried away tonight trying to make this corner not garbage. Still pretty rough but a lot closer. Finished driver dogleg and mounted the door. Will sanded the other corner already and did some welding on his door

After five days of sanding on Will’s bus we finally got it partially in poly.

Sanding sucks ass. I felt like Sisyphus in hell pushing the rock up the hill only to have it fall right back down. My hands are pealing like an onion.

I hated breathing in the consistent haze from all the sanding and we have successfully covered all of KCW in dust.

But at the same time, it’s also very zen. Working to make a panel perfect only to realize that you messed up somewhere and have to do it all over makes you relax about speeding through and instead focus on getting it right.

It sure makes you appreciate trips like this one to Havasu more

    Overall 4/10 would not recommend
