I guess I forgot to post up how I even messed up that puck up in the first place… We noticed the other night that the seam between the bottom of the gutter and the side panel was abnormally wide next to the cargo doors. Looking at the backside of the gutter from inside the bus you could see that it started out pretty tight and then slowly got wider. Couldn’t tell what caused it but it looks like something had pressed the roof down and popped a few spot welds and bowed the whole side out.

To correct it I welded JJ’s one wheel pucks to the cargo floor and then chained it to the portapower. Hooked it into the rain gutter on the inside and it pulled the whole thing down. It was crazy to watch because as it pinched the two panels together it also smoothed out the roof and tightened up and sucked in the side panel. You could let it out and suck it back in back and forth with the portapower, pretty fun stuff.

Got it back where it was supposed to be and welded all the cracked and broken welds to hold it all back together. Looks right now and it tightened up all the door gaps! I’m pretty excited about it and think its a little bit of a graduation to a higher skill level. Maybe even a level 4! ?

It’s really coming together! Definitely a more respectable build than his last shiny bus. Will calls me to tell me that I’m going to have to head out to KCW to be put to work on this project as soon as I get home… missed you too bro

    THIS AFTERNOON BRAH! ????

Getting to GJ by rail this time. It’s been a while since I’ve rode the train anywhere, and I forgot how pretty and relaxing it can be. Gives me some time to do some much needed career searching stuff. Took this picture this morning. The station is definitely sporting some holiday spirit. ?

You gotta’ be loving this Jones! Injecting all this good karma into the young kids. Good for the soul if you ask me.

I'm at the age where "fuck off", "fuck you", and "fuck it" answer most questions.

I enjoy helping the young guns…. I do enjoy seeing them progress and get better and more confident.. Working on your own stuff, and getting good at it.. is what leads to you making a living doing this.. and do see them getting better.. Willy gets better and better each time, and more independant.Β  Which is what I strive to teach people.. How to fix shit and make their own decisions instead of always asking me.. πŸ˜‰Β  πŸ˜‰Β  πŸ˜‰Β  Β Make it right, so what makes sence, and be logical… you’ll see, it’s not that hard. πŸ˜‰

COLE took a GAS shower last night changing his fuel line on his DD…. boy did he stink! πŸ˜€

I’m really enjoying being able to figure out how to get things right on my own, and spending a lot less time being frustrated. Still, I need and really appreciate Jone’s help on the level 5 stuff. We worked the rear passenger side panel together… its tough to get soft stuff like that smooth and not oil canning. Like the nose that Rusty helped me with.

We’re getting close to having all the welding done on the bus and ready to start spreading mud. That’ll be a good day…. Spent most of yesterday filling misc holes that were drilled everywhere, making patches, and finishing spots that were half done. Sanded the long panel and found some more spots to work.

    Your a lucky kid Will

I know, there aren’t many people who have access to this kind of facility and hospitality. Both Cole and I are really lucky, and lucky that JJ somehow tolerates us. Especially me, always being in the way and not “being an asset” or “adding value” ?
