Just about. Chris is working in the shop with me and Zack and Audrey are here too hanging out.
Got the last of the body and removables from the gutter down in poly. Block sanding and hopefully putting another coat on soon to catch everything up to the nose.
Pretty buses are way too much fuckin work!!
Yeah… I think I figured that out too late.
Why do bugs love flying into wet paint? ???
Nice work Willy!!!
We will build it if it comes.
Keep up the good work Will it’s coming along nicely.
Blocking the whole thing with 180 now. Unsurprisingly, using the air file hid some spots that still needed some work. Can’t beat good old manual block sanding!
For all the body working experts out there, should I be taping up the hinges every time I poly? I feel like it all just cracks and falls off every time I open and close the doors and is a waste of material
^^^ yup.
We will build it if it comes.
I’ve got it just about blocked out in 180 grit with very little burn through.
I think I’m gonna do one more coat of poly for good measure, block that one more time, and then prep it for 2K.
Ive been getting bored of sanding a bit though and would rather not have to tape up the roof anymore and sand off any overspray, so I’ve started tackling it. ?
I wish I had taken some before pictures of this area, it was rough. But once you know how to use the shrinking disc, it’s magic!!! ??♂️??♀️
This spot looks much better now
Uh, So………… is your Bus build flying forward or did you get tired?????? Cmon mang keep working!!!! TRUST ME you are only young once!!!!! It’s like OG paint! 😉 Update!!!!!!! 🙂
Sanding the roof today, hopefully 3rd coat of poly shortly
Nice work Will!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep it up!!!! Before you know it there will be an abundance of guys back at the shop to harass you and keep you company!!!!!
I love going on adventures in our bus!!!
I need those guys sometimes to keep me from doing stupid stuff! Which is why I’m not sanding the roof now as much as I’m scraping it….
I tried a technique to spread a large area where you stagger your hardener ratios to let it all dry at the same time so you can sand it all at once, and failed. Spending my day redoing it all now!
