When images are drag and droped all at once there is no inherent order to them, so they are added as they are uploaded to the server but they can be drug around in the text box if their order is not exactly how you like. You can still do one drag and drop upload at a time to ensure they are in the order you want them to be in. Also, I just revised my code to insert images at the cursor in the box instead of at the top of the text, so when you go to insert an image make sure your cursor is where you want the image!
It is definatly easier to do one upload at time, the multiple uploads at once is honestly just a nice feature to have; It is not a super usefull feature for forums. I would not be surprised if mac might handle the dragging an dropping of files a little bit differently than windows, but I have used this same script on another website which I used a mac to access most of the time and it worked just fine. Mac Vs. PC should not matter on most levels, assuming you are using chrome, and NOT safari. If you are using safari the only fix is the absolutly never touch safari again; Chrome or firefox are light years better in terms of support.
You said one time the upload just didnt work at all, how big were the images and what were their files types (png/jpg/gif/…)? I can up the allowed size of files or add file types easily. Also, was an error displayed? I think I have one for files being invalid one for images being too big. If neither of those showed up then perhaps the server was restarting right when an image was being uploaded… which is really unfortunate. Maybe i should add a banner up top 10 minutes prior to a server restart ???

I’ve tried uploading jpegs with the new upload feature with little success. It take at least two tries to get them to upload. It acts like its uploading the fist time, but the pictures do not appear. I made sure to have the cursor in the right spot. I also like the older uploader because I can constrain the proportions to make the images small and appear side by side collage style.
I tried a video today. It would not allow the upload. So I went with youtube. you can see it under parkway projects if you think its something with size or format. It looks like you’ve taken the embed feature off? It just shows the link now.
Also the right click to upload to the gallery is nice…but now does not allow cut, paste, edit or spelling corrections.
Edit, nevermind I figured out how to paste and copy if I change the post box from visual to text.
But like John said, totally unimportant. I can make due with anything. Thankful just to have a website.
Thanks for the feedback! It really helps me change things for the better! I have no way of knowing if something seems off or doesn’t work for everyone if nobody notifies me! I am always welcome to more posts explaining little issues, as long as the expectation of them being fixed in a timely manner is low ????
Yesterday I (for whatever reason) decided to turn on the option for right clicking in the text area to bring up a different menu, but I just disabled it since it sounds like copy and paste is more common than I thought! The normal right click menu should be showing up after a day or two when everyone’s cache clears (or you can clear it manually).
The embed feature has been really finicky for everyone (including me), I think it really likes straight up links, so with YouTube you can just grab the link right from your url bar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WM8bTdBs-cw
It looks like YouTube also puts a ?feature=youtu.be at the end of url when you open the link from an embedded link, remove that from the url too. If you are okay with just uploading videos to YouTube, that is going to be 10,000 time better than uploading here. They can be nearly infinitely long, super high quality (I.E. Really big files), easy to upload, and easy to access. I definitely endorse using YouTube and linking here!

Since it sounds like the multiple uploads feature isn’t entirely relevant in this context, I might just recreate the other plugin and include all of those options, or finally give in and buy the plugin so I can easily edit it to my hearts content
I like the uploader… but I miss my smiley’s darn it. 8-( I add about three per post…… unless I am using a dumb phone, then I done’t do any, cause the freakin buttons are sooooo small and hard to hit the right fucking thing… and I can’t see that shit either!!!! fuck the phones. 😎
The plugin in used to have the emojis on the bar appears to have stopped working since updating WordPress last night… Ill have to find a new one!
As for emojis on phones, there is a second keyboard which lets you select emojis to insert into what ever you are typing. You’ll have to ask mom where it is on your phone but that should make it 10x easier to insert emojis

Hmmm…. That is a weird issue you experienced with trying to make a post for a new thread…. I wonder if there is some hard limit for the length of the first post on a thread ????
Unless i’m missing it…. Is there a way to also copy an “image address” from elsewhere on this site or another site and paste it into a post? Seems now, like I’d need to have the image I want to post saved to my device/computer in order to post it.
Yea I second what my dad says, you can post just about any link and a plugin will figure out how to display it. If you just throw a link to an image into your post it will be interpreted as an image, or you could pull a link right to an Instagram post and it will embed that, same with Youtube
