Johnny is out too… But I don’t think he can party just yet… 😎
I have been tinkering with your rig… I am missing a few items.. and we need to make a hardware order… we are pretty wiped out since baja build!!! But I pulled the wires through and made a plan, hung a couple parts, and some seals… I will continue making some sort of progress daily. I’m gonna dig your seats out and get those ready too…unkParticipantJune 14, 2018 at 9:35 pmPost count: 188
Let’s put an OG stereo in there. Franz can sniff one out on Samba. Lemee know and I’ll send some green.FranzKeymasterJune 15, 2018 at 8:40 amPost count: 1309
I’m sure we have a original radio somewhere around here.PeetParticipantJune 15, 2018 at 9:51 amPost count: 128
I’ve sent radios to Aurora Design and was impressed. They can take any vintage radio and upgrade it with new electronics, add bluetooth, usb and mini jack. Wtf good is a radio that doesn’t work?PeteParticipantJune 15, 2018 at 10:07 amPost count: 382
This guy restored mine; he’s in Lakewood, Co. In addition to getting the AM channel working, he added an FM board and an MP3 connection. It works great.

That’s pretty cool, I didn’t know that could be done.russParticipantJune 15, 2018 at 4:41 pmPost count: 35

Stock radio conversions are bad ass. A company called “Aurora” makes the kits. KCW had one done on that crazy black 356. I also did one in my Notch, love it.

They need blasted and painted….. But no sense having seats sitting around without a car to put them in.
Priority would be:
1- body on pan
2- doors on body
3- convertible top frame repair and paint
3- convertible top assembly/adjustment and canvas.
4- window frame repair + chrome + assembly
Then we can think about all the dumb stuff like interior, engine, bumpers, and fuel system.
