Maybe I should reconsider and fix yours… 🙄  🙄  🙄  🙄   being OG is worth something..  😉  humm…  damn.. I was wanting to nail some nails in this wood, lead over the spots, and rebody work that area and start Painting!!!!  I really really really want to paint this this month…  or maybe March 1st ish.. I need a praying emoji…. one that has a bad shoulder.. 😉

Been a wild ride, but it got me here 😎

I wasn’t worried about the cash…..I was just thinking things through and I know how bad that decklid was…….Baaadddd.   Plus we would still need to find rain gutters….Let me know if I can help.

and by the way…..I inserted a bitmoji on an earlier draft of this email…….but I deleted it.  I know you love those…..

Thanks for thinking of me in your post Tom… 😉  😉  😉  😉   I’m just glad that punk ass kid didn’t get something started with that… 🙄  🙄  🙄  🙄   How about that kid trading the oval off???  Fuck… I’m still working on that ticket myself… 😉  🙄  😀

I’ll reevaluate your lid and lean heavily towards fixing it and making it work with OG parts in mind. 😉  😉

I went to a great home thats going to be able to take a lot better care of it than I will when I graduate and move out! I traded it for the syncro I’ve been detailing here to a long time friend who got me into split busses in the first place and helped make my first 15 window project possible. He lives in Denver but is in the process of moving the Oval and a few other cars to Milwaukee, so it’ll be closer to you!

I thought it would be smart to find a new home for it as I starting to worry about post-grad plans and where I could store it and keep it in good shape. I used it as a daily all spring, summer, and fall until the weather started to get worse. All these guys who gave me shit at the beginning, were right (annoyingly), its too nice for me! I felt bad using it to run to the store or to drive to campus on a nice day, it was at risk around college kids who don’t value it as much as we do.

I’ve got some beat up truck now that works better for my situation and I don’t feel as guilty about leaving outside. The new owner of your beautiful Oval couldn’t be any happier and I know he wants to get in touch with you to cruise your two KCW builds together!

Long reply as I’m still trying to justify why I got rid of the nicest car I’ll own for a very long time.

John. Let me know if you want those repop rain trays (if you’re gonna rehab that turd decklid).    If so, I will buy them and have them shipped to you.

Some good reasoning Willy. I made some similar choices when I joined the Air Force. Couldn’t expect my dad to store my shit for an indefinite time. I used all the money gained to pay off some shop carried debts. Back in the day before a tool truck would carry your credit for purchases, the shop would carry the load as long as you made payment every pay day. Sold a nice VW bus, and a few motorcycles then, that I wished I still had. I did manage to keep all my tools. I’d be lost without them.

I'm at the age where "fuck off", "fuck you", and "fuck it" answer most questions.
