Anyhow… this truck is looking awesome! I’m excited about driving back to Texas and getting a “traveling parts” list together in my head. It will be my first split window trip and any advice is appreciated. Think I’ll be needing to wrangle up a spare tire… Wondering if we’ll make it up Imogene…

The more you bring, the less will break!! 😉 😉 🙂 I’d suggest a travel tool kit,  points, plugs, condenser,coil,  spare tire, extra belt, some fuel line, FIRE EXTINGUISHER, fuses………… maybe a wheel bearing and seal……???? Try to cover a few simple breakdown problems and call it done!!!!! Yes, you can likely pull an engine with a 2X4,  adjustable wrench and 3 big rocks but unless you need to, just cover a few mechanical bases and enjoy your Bus!!!!!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

As new as this rig is going to be, spare tire and AAA towing insurance. But what Rusty said; it has all the basics covered for most any issue your likely to encounter. Maybe a few quarts of oil too.

Shit you just need a pair of sun glasses and to relax and enjoy the ride!! AAA and a spare tire would be good to just in case.  After KCW built my bus I drove it for 2 years and never left me stranded. I have dual carbs so they are tricky. You shit is going to run like a top just cruise at 55 mph the hole way and u will be fine. Top speed for a breakin cruise about 60 and your set is my 2 cents?

I haven’t been posting up much lately.. we have been busy busy busy working… Paul we got lots of parts painted for clean shop assembly!!!  Pat also got those gates blasted and polied… as well as je treasure chest door… and he has already blocked it and 2K’ed it last night.. at about midnight… 😎  Gates seem to be blocking out… we will 2K them later…  all good shit.

Yeah… he gets it done!!!  Gates are blocked and being 2K primed now. We wanted them to look pretty good… so we had to do soem sanding on them..

Paint some more parts here in a minute… and Pat will get that treasure chest lid ready to paint while these dry..

Got all that shit painted…. and the paint gods handed me a BIG SLICE of humble pie….. I completely ran the dick out of that rear gate… On The 5th coat….. I was trying to hammer it on a little TOO MUCH!  and now I gotta sand it again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I fucking hate runs.
