Glad you’re back S&S. Looked like a “life experience” kind of trip. Some coffin… that Gerson fella does a bang up job on his shipments, huh? Those green gates look great! I’m trying to remember the condition of Dad’s latches. As I remember, they’re all there and serviceable. Anything I need to be hunting to complete this mission? Again, welcome back.

I got them there awesome gates on and off and in the blast booth!  I’ll get the shell in the clean shop, then I will dust those gates off, work em a little bit, and paint em…  Latches are all good….     and I can’t think of anything we need or are missing at the moment…

I did some welding and crack repair on the engine lid and then body worked and polied it…. Piece of cake!!!!!

Been a wild ride, but it got me here 😎

I’m excited to see this in yellow. Are you going to do the factory gray sealer in middle and yellow outside?

That sounds like a great idea. Kind of break all that yellow up too. What say you, Mr Jones?

That engine lid looks to be good for another 58 years now. Outstanding work.

well… after lots of hours of prep… the bottom is painted Yellow… It will be so nice to work under thus bus.. it will be clean and bright!!!  I put in a larger tip and put two unreduced coats of epoxy on that bottom…  and then two coats of single stage paint..  Shes  nice.

Engine bay and cab interior work tomorrow for me… 😉

John how much unreduced color does it take for the bottom of a bus?
