Here’s a couple pics of my DC. Figured I’d check out the new site and see how it goes posting pics. Nice original low miles truck with plenty of North East goodness to keep me busy. The plan was to go through the Brakes (done) wheels tires (done) and tackle the lower center section rust issues. Hats and inner rockers (done) B,C&D pillars (done). Outer rocks being worked on. I’m not even sure if I had a thread on this truck, anyway I work on this till something shinny distracts me and I forget it for months at a time lol.
Looks nice! Throw a gas tank and engine in there! Work on it as you roll in it!
us after hours hackshows just trying to “keep up with the Jones’s”
Like them tires! 😉
Been a wild ride, but it got me here 😎
Awesome!!! You gonna paint it??!!
Nah, don’t want to paint it. I’ve been messing around trying to strip the green off. It came off the bed real nice, But the rest of the truck was prepped and primed better so it’s being a bitch. Down the line I think I’ll just have some 2k tinted match and cover any bare metal. IDK.
My shop was jammed up for a while (to many VWs is a good/and bad). I had no room to work and couldn’t get excited about anything. I bit the bullet and rented a spot to store some shit. Now I got some elbow room to get my head back in this pig.
Some paint removal work.
Finally some current work. Got this lower wheelwell burned in last night.
as usual.. nice work. 😉 😉 😉

Paint removal looks good. What u useing
I used easy off oven cleaner followed by lacquer thinner. It doesn’t seem to be working as good on the cab.
That’s what I was useing the oven cleaner. The kanucks said use citra strip and those boys are some strippers and pretty good at it from the looks. I haven’t tried citra yet but I will soon. Love me some double cab
I dig the wheel and tire combo..looks good.
Those tires are Achilles Tires Desert Hawk. Got them from Simpletire.com. Id like to put a set of Nates lifted spindles on here at some point. Or maybe just put some adjusters in.
Another productive night on the DC. Next I’ll have to make inside part of both wheelwells and fix the mess between them where the floor meets behind the gas tank.
