Top end rebuild in the back yard in the dirt…  not much fun… but part of the VW experience!

hope everyone has a great day!!  Great week!!!     I’m still on a long ass vacation!!  Longest one corporate and I have been away!!!! I can not say I am dying to get home though…   my back hurts and I am sure this backyard rebuild won’t be doing my back any favors…8-(

I am pretty sure I overheated it and started sucking valves while driving to Yuma…  it was 107 degrees out….  I should have known better…   when it cooled down, the valves would move back into place and then run “fine” till it got super hot again..  then all of a sudden it would sound like I had an exhaust leak… or predetenate….  I could hear something wasn’t right… but hoped I could get home…  it sucked #4 exhaust and #3 intake…   burned a whole through the head too!!!!!!   Lesson learned.. no more re driving in 100 heat..  😎
