That rack would be perfect for viewing a race from the infield of a dirt track or side of a drag strip also! It is always cleaner sitting in the infield of a dirt track ! Well, clean as you can stay at a dirt track!

The wood flooring recycled out of an dry box 45-53′ trailer is nice also. It looks like butcher block and will have predrilled screw holes about every foot. It is a pain to save it out of the trailer but it looks great after it is refinished or left patina.

If you rip 3/8 or 1/2 in strips from the lumber ,that gives you a 1 1/2 in. Wide strip . Thst should be plenty thick with the 8in center on the bars .cut a 1/4 in off the outside first snd use that as your spacing between the strips . I would pre dril and counter sink .

NO plywood, redwood or Douglas fir 2×6 2×12 lumber the length that you need ,long enough so you can cut it full length strips . rip it on a table saw.

I was thinking about wood for your bus. I can go by the wood shop my buddy works at and see if they have something that is like  5/8 to 3/4 thick in a outside material unless u found something. I was going to come down on Saturday if u need a handbuilding the rack deck

So I was up at 4:30 today and decided the OLDMANN needed some more attention…this time it was something I’m ok at….detailing a car. So I detailed and buffed it and boy does the 30+ year old shitty paint shine now! 😎😎

When I was done I figured I might as well put a few miles on it so I drove around a bit and took a few pics. 👍👍

This is the happiest I’ve been with this old car…KCW is the fuckin shit!
