How did the car work with that welded diff? I’d imagine bad ass but running a welded diff is asking for it. Just no give. You guys gunna run the 1000?

Hey Chris, what up. Thanks for hooking us up with that car. It was built right. You guys did an incredible job on the cage and suspension.

The welded diff was badass. We didn’t have any problems with traction. Between the diff and the 30 x 9.5″  kr2 tires, the car motored. We made a couple passes on hill climbs where other cars were stuck.

The welded diff also allowed for a playful driving style. It liked to break traction and get sideways in the corners.

But like you said, I think it was hard on the gear box and axles.

Baja 1000 is the goal, and I think we can do better with all the stuff we learned at the 500.

Bad ass man. You guys are doing it. The car looks great after the race! Those tires work way better than the old ones. We would eat fenders up after each race. Keep up the good work. It’s fun watching you guys. You guys were kicking ass. Seems like everything else held up pretty good? Was that the tranny that was in the car when you guys got it? Or another one?

I got some more photos from a couple photographers that were on the course. I am still searching for the photographer that got photos of Peet and I around midnight on the really hard hill section at mikes ranch.

Everything else held up pretty well Chris! The tranny that blew up was a new one. The one that we swapped back in was the original transmission that was in it when we bought the car.
