for the nosecone, could you put steel inserts in to stop them wallowing out when off roading?

I’m gonna put a fresh nose cone on, New studs and hardware for the tranny mount,  and fashion some sort of mid mount… it needs it..  I’ll tell ya from experience, 2liter bus’s are hard on tranny mounts….  I’ll see what I have around here.. I bet.. I have something I could press into the nose cone… great idea… I mostly need to keep that tranny tight!!!!!! 😎

Dually got a new look yesterday… 😎    I love the thicker sidewall…. Those are 275/40/22’s…  all the way around… and is only slightly shorter overall than what was on the truck when I got it, 275/35/24’s and seems to fit the best on the 24’s.. cause I have tried one size smaller, TOO THIN, no side wall.. 30 series tire… and I tried a 40 series.. it was too tall.. pushed up on my hood when all laid out..

 

Lays out perfect, more side wall, new look, smoother ride… all bueno!

Gotta get my Pamper all dialed in again this week…. I’d like to leave for Baja some time next week…. Preferably a day or two before the “trucks and trailers” roll out…  cause I drive about 50% slower than those rigs will be running… 😎
