that bus is gonna be solid man ! gotta get out to see it soon
Still banging this one into shape, like a big pile of clay. Roof is less lumpy and solid, banging out old bondo and previous rollover damage on the sides now. Rough door fitment took some beating, stretching and pulling, fit is ok considering all the damage and new metal this thing has seen. Hacked out a perfectly good high hinge panel door for the camper window, man that hurt.
Lower front door rust repairs, home fabbed pieces.
Nice pieces Jeff!!!! Bus is looking great!!! Another great DD to add to the collection of drivers you have!!!! 😎
Been a wild ride, but it got me here 😎
Awesome Jeff !
I need to order some panels for the SC, maybe I should just order from you ?
haha. Fabbing pieces is a waste of time with Gerson on the job. His parts need way less adjustment than mine!

I question a new guy on the block even spending the money for metal shaping tools these days with Gerson with us… 😎

The patina eraser is coming for a visit today. Say goodbye to the space man riding a dragon shooting a rabbit
abrasive cleaning time… 😎

You’re doing Great work Jeff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Rusty! I appreciate the motivation I get from you guys.
Blasting came out pretty good, lots of pinholes to fix now but that’s the way it goes.
They call this dustless blasting, the glass media is mixed with water and a phosphate to blast with a slurry. Dustless my ass!! The dry wind turned that shit into dust soon it was sprayed, the mud piled up in the bottom making it hard for the guy to see that he missed the corners. I had to keep finding the missed spots and make him go back. Got pretty good coverage in the end tho.
Getting the media out of the bus is a lot bigger project than with dry – the shit cakes on like sand at the beach when it dries. Have to really wipe every surface down to get it off before you can blow it away. Your setup at KCW is way better for what we do, I think. But it sure was handy to have him come to me!
Looks good. Gotta love DD buses. Let’s get all these buses side by side and open them up
I’m with ya Jeff… I won’t do dustless blasting ever again…. 😎 and the mess they leave!!! Mines all contained, dry and I like it better.. 😎
