Left wing panel about 80% done. Going to hang it up and start on the right panel. Once I get it to this point, I’ll finish both at the same time.

The wing is looking good Ben . Do you have all the tubing for the frame?
Yes Kevin, I do. Ordered a kit of materials for right around three grand shipped. I’m really itching to do the fuse. Need to sit in it and make airplane noises. π

My buddy and co-worker is headed out to phoenix today to pick up a partially built Wittman Tailwind. I guess the fuselage is mostly completed..He’s going to tow it back home and finish it in his garage. pretty bitchin little airplanes.
You are making me want to get back into flying. I sold my 150 E ,for my single cab.

I had plans for a 1/4 scale WT once. Never got around to building it. Sexy little airplane.

Check out ultralights and light sport aircraft catagories Kevin. Lots of options. I think a Cessna 150 fits light sport to.

I think the 140 qualifies, but not the venerable 150. That’d be cool if it didβ¦ Cooler still to do what you’re doing and build/fly/maintain your own. Giving the FAA the finger would be a great start to any day.
I would rather go the homebuilt . That way big brother isn’t looking over my shoulder, and getting in my wallet every year
