Huge Step!!!!!!! Damn Franz, you are running out of big projects on this build!!!!!!!!! π π π
Franz was here late finishing pop outs last night. I think his front glass might be ready today also.
We will build it if it comes.
Pop-out windows are a pain in the ass. Kept grabbing an edge of the inner seal while trying to push it together.
I got this.
I think I’m going home at a regular hour tonight though…
<p style=”text-align: center;”>Man your doing this bus up sweet!!</p>
Like puff daddy said- “more windows more problems.”
6 -window frames painted and assembled
6 -pop-out latches cleaned and polished
6 – window openings to clean Doug’s over-spray glue out of
60 -screws to install
I am sooo close. Going to have all the glass and doors done today. The bus already drives….but I got to get the bumpers and deluxe trim on, or I’ll never get around to it.
I got a kick-ass fiamma awning with green striped material on order. Can’t wait to get it.
Can’t wait to be following you down the road!!!!!Β Β Road Trip!!!!!!!!! π
Luck is when preparation and opportunity meet.π
Finish line approaching! Β The rig has so many cool details.
Congrats Franz ??? your bus so cool
I couldn’t sleep, woke up early. May as well make something good out of it.
Super distracted yesterday. Seemed like every 5 minutes we had a visitor or someone that needed help. I got all my windows in, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t trying for more.
Its cool. I like helping people. I’d be in the wrong place if I didn’t.
The whole side pops out! Making that last one was a chore. I welded a gusset and cage for the nut plate forever ago.
My Friend Scott is a very talented woodworker. He made me a spice rack for the dead window. I’ll paint it green eventually.
The first window opens forward facing like the original first window. I cut and moved the hinge.
Custom rear hatch panel. It started with adding the “barf button” hole so that the hatch can be opened from the inside. Then Doug got out of control with pockets and bungee straps. π I like it. I’ll load it up with tools and parts for bike races to make the ultimate pit rig.

Luck is when preparation and opportunity meet.π
BAM!
Sorry for the excessive posting this morning. I’m excited.
